Great to meet you!

I have worked therapeutically with clients for over 15 years. I specialize in helping adults with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, loss and adhd. I am a trauma informed therapist, and believe that the experiences people have had throughout their lives contribute to shaping how people feel and function. We are living in uncertain times, where things can feel very heavy, and I am passionate about helping people with stress management, interpersonal relationships (i.e. family dynamics, friendships, romantic relationships), life transitions (i.e. career growth/changes, moving, loss) self-esteem, parenting and women's issues.

My approach to therapy

I am an integrative therapist, using aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused and interpersonal therapy, to meet clients where they are while helping them grow. People often come to therapy because they want to change something in their lives, but feel stuck. Maybe you have coping strategies, but wonder why you still feel down or overwhelmed. My approach is interactive and warm, and as we get to know each-other, includes gently challenging fixed beliefs and ways of thinking that have not been helpful and are not working for you. I believe that giving people the opportunity to speak freely with someone who is actively listening with intention and without judgment, is one of therapy's greatest gifts.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help people feel comfortable, seen and heard throughout the therapy process. My style is warm and interactive, and people have given me feedback about appreciating my open-minded and down to earth approach. I help people who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed and/or are struggling with other challenging symptoms, by addressing the factors that are contributing and working on building resilience. I will help you address the barriers from the past and present that are preventing you from leading a more peaceful, present and full life. Progress looks different for everyone, and I'm here to help you with your goals related to mental health and wellness.
