Great to meet you!

I am an LCMHC practicing in the state of North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018 with an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I have over five years of clinical experience providing individual and couples therapy in college counseling and outpatient practice settings. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and many of the other forms of “stuckness” that can come with being human.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My practice is most powerfully informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, though I draw from other experiential theories as well. When I say my approach to counseling is an “experiential” one – this simply means that we will consult your experience again and again to figure out what matters to you and how best to pursue it. We will often be curious about what is happening in the here and now, since this is always where and when our experience is taking place.

What you can expect from our first session

My intention is to assist you in finding the freedom to move in life towards that which is truly important to you. Once we clarify how it is you most want to show up in this world, we will together begin to discover what is and what isn’t working to move you in this direction. We will sometimes talk about things that have happened in the past or might happen in the future, but we will often observe and act in the present – noticing and trying things out in session.
