Sara Goldsmith

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in child and adolescent therapy, and I am currently establishing my private practice in Westchester County . With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of social work and therapy, I have worked extensively with youth aged 6 to 21 who presented with a variety of mental health concerns. I specialize in: Child and adolescent therapy, family therapy, PTSD, behavioral disorders, social and school anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, family conflict, as well as behavior intervention and parenting strategies.

I specialize my treatment style to meet the specific, individualized needs of each client, initially focusing on building a trusting therapeutic relationship them.

Feeling empowered as I utilize a strenghths based approach with all of my clients. I create a safe and calm, and inviting environment to help support and encourage children. It is especially important that traumatized children feel that they can trust their therapist.
