Great to meet you!

Hi! Thank you so much for finding your way here. I have always been interested in people's stories and what shapes all of us, as well as how we heal from the things have shaped us that also hurt us. At the University of Michigan, I majored in psychology. I later obtained my Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Since then, I have been trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and became a Certified Internal Family Systems therapist.

A bit about my approach to therapy

One of the many reasons I love the IFS model of therapy so much is that it is so devoid of shame. It holds that all that we are makes sense, and that we learned to be the exact way we are because we had to. The approach is based in compassion, understanding, and also the belief that you have what you need inside of you to heal. My work is in guiding you to find the resource inside yourself that can give those wounded parts of you what they have never received.

What you can expect from our first session

You do not have to believe that healing is possible in order to start therapy. It is fine if parts of you do not want to talk about any of the things that hurt. We make sure that we have permission from all of you with anything we do. In this way, deep and sustained healing is possible. You will know yourself better than ever before. You will learn to support yourself in ways you never thought possible. You will be free to show up in this world in ways that feel true to all of you.
