Hello to all, I am a licensed therapist in Illinois. I have a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work and 19 years of healthcare experience. I genuinely enjoy working with people. I see clients virtual and work with those 18 to 65 that enjoy virtual sessions. I am excited to be working with Headway to make therapy more accessible. I also do in-person sessions in Mattoon, IL.
I follow a person centered and holistic care model. I am trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming. I try to balance evidence based treatments with listening to the voices of those with lived experience. I believe that all aspects of life are intricately connected and that everyone benefits from support. I value diversity. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and body positive.
I focus on helping others learn to be more self-aware and self-compassionate. We work on coping and regulation skills and learning to react in ways that you feel good about. I also help clients to better understand where their thoughts and beliefs come from so they can develop a deep understanding of themselves. Our time together will go beyond just focusing on behaviors and modifying them. I work well with people that want to feel supported and heard.
