Great to meet you!

Great to meet you. I’m Sara, and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and even choosing a therapist can be hard. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and addiction recovery, and I aim to make therapy feel like a steady, supportive place to land.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, trauma-informed approach and believe that you are the expert on your own life. I use CBT to help you recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns, DBT-informed skills to support emotional regulation and coping, and person-centered therapy to ensure you feel heard and respected. When appropriate, I also use somatic techniques to gently help process past experiences that may still be affecting you today. Therapy moves at your pace, with an emphasis on safety, trust, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what’s been weighing on you lately. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Many clients describe their work with me as conversational and grounding, while also leaving with greater clarity and direction. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and shaping therapy in a way that feels supportive and manageable for you.
