Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Sara! I believe that connection is key to feeling less alone in this world. Getting curious about our past experiences and core values can help us to create a life that feels authentic and aligned with who we want to be. I enjoy supporting clients who are navigating life transitions, specifically the perinatal and postpartum periods. Additionally, I have specialized training in substance use disorders and have a heart for working with loved ones of those impacted by addiction to help restore balance, trust, and healing to the family system.

My approach to therapy

I believe that healing happens within the context of relationships — with ourselves and others. My practice is strengths-based and attachment focused. I believe that as human beings, we are hardwired to heal and I want to provide you with a supportive, empowering space and effective tools to do just that! My approach is curious and caring with the goal of creating a peaceful, intentional space for you to get to know yourself better. Although the work we do in session can be challenging, I am confident that we will find moments of levity and laughter, as well. I pride myself on being a harm reduction therapist which means that my primary goal is to support your individuality and help you improve your overall well-being in a way that feels sustainable for you. You don’t have to feel 100% ready to get started — I’ll meet you exactly where you are!

What you can expect from me

The therapeutic process is dynamic and will evolve, grow, and shift as you do. I strongly believe in the connection between our minds and bodies and want you to feel like the truest, most centered version of yourself. I am passionate about helping my clients establish boundary setting and communication skills to help build and maintain mutually fulfilling relationships. In session, I focus on exploring values and emotional regulation skills, as well as building self-compassion and confidence. I offer EMDR therapy to help my clients heal from trauma and manage distress.
