Great to meet you!

As a certified Perinatal Mental Health professional, I specialize in infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, postpartum adjustment and mood disorders. However, I also work with teens, women and men with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, and life changes. I am an LGBTQ ally and support racial and social justice. I am equally comfortable with strong faith beliefs and those with none at all. Many people have been referred to me by former clients.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapy are the foundation of my work and I am trained in the Brainspotting treatment method, a powerful and efficient therapy that helps improve symptoms of trauma and/or other neurophysiological challenges. Brainspotting has proven that it can accelerate healing and produce positive results beyond conventional talk therapy. Not all of my clients choose to use it, but it can even be useful for enhancing artistic and athletic capacity.

What you can expect from our first session

My assessment sessions are comprehensive and in addition to assessing someone's current symptoms and functioning, we'll discuss their "life story" to gather information that informs a preliminary diagnosis and treatment plan. I want clients to leave the first session with a preliminary plan of what our work together will entail. Sessions can be challenging, healing, frustrating, enlightening but always focused on what the client needs as they work on improving their well-being.
