Great to meet you!

I became a social worker because I wanted to help others break cycles and make positive changes in their lives.

I started in 2018, facilitating group therapy specializing in dual diagnosis issues (addiction and mental health) before transitioning to individual therapy in a university setting and working with young adults.

I specialize in addiction issues, anxiety, depression, stress management, boundaries, relationships, esteem building, adjustment issues and trauma.

I also enjoy working with those who have never had therapy before and demystifying what therapy can and cannot do.

My approach to therapy

You are the expert of you and your story. I'll work with you to find tools and strategies that work best for you and that make sense for you and your lifestyle.

I like to make therapy approachable and relatable. I tailor my style to you and take an eclectic, creative approach using evidence based practices.

I will work with you to empower you to take the small steps that lead to big shifts. At times, I may challenge you and encourage you to go outside your comfort zone, as this is where change happens! No matter which approach I take, it will be done with a sense of warmth, acceptance, and humor.

What you can expect from me

I like to take my time building rapport and trust and both are essential to good therapy. In our first session, you'll have the opportunity to share as much or as little as you'd like about what brings you to therapy. I'll also have you identify some goals and/or outcomes you'd like to see for yourself so that we know what we're working towards.

Don't know where to begin? Don't worry! We'll figure it out together and take as much time as we need to get there.
