Great to meet you!

I am an LCSW who loves working with children, teens, parents, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.

My work is shaped not just by my training, but by my lived experience. I was once a queer kid with ADHD, so I understand how complicated it can feel to navigate identity, relationships, and mental health, especially when you don’t always feel like you fit in. Because of that, I really value creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel understood.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a partnership. We will be working together on your goals, while I draw from different therapeutic approaches that fit you best. At the heart of my work is creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I aim to meet you with empathy and acceptance, while also helping you build insight, learn new coping tools, and move toward the kind of life you want to be living. We will be working together as a team.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what’s been going on for you and what brought you to therapy, and you’re always welcome to ask me anything too.

We’ll start to talk about what you’d like to get out of therapy, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out right away. Starting therapy can feel a little nerve-wracking, and that’s completely okay. I will try to keep things relaxed and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I also may make a lot of silly jokes along the way.

My goal in that first session is to help you feel heard, supported, and a little more at ease with the process.
