Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah Cheffen, LPC, a licensed therapist originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and I bring a warm, grounded, and compassionate approach to the work I do with clients. I’m passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate emotional healing, relationship challenges, and personal growth. I specialize in working with clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, emotional pain, life transitions, or relationship distress and want support in rebuilding stability and confidence in their lives.

My approach is supportive, structured, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques while also providing practical tools to help clients build emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and increase self-awareness.

I have experience supporting clients through concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem struggles, relationship conflict, betrayal trauma, and identity restoration. I also enjoy working with individuals who are working through past wounds and learning how to set healthier boundaries and reconnect with their sense of self.

My goal is to help you feel grounded, emotionally supported, and equipped with the tools you need to move forward with clarity and strength. Whether you’re working through personal challenges or relationship concerns, I’m here to support you in a safe and nonjudgmental space.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-focused. I work with individuals and couples to identify emotional patterns, strengthen communication, and process painful experiences that may be impacting their relationships. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space while also helping clients build tools for emotional stability and healthier decision-making. I believe healing is possible when clients feel supported, understood, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a supportive and structured space where we explore what’s been happening and what you hope will change. We’ll discuss patterns, communication challenges, emotional triggers, and any trust concerns that may be present. Together, we’ll identify goals for therapy and begin building a plan for emotional safety and progress. My goal is for you to leave feeling clearer, supported, and more confident about the next steps.
