Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming at times- whether you're navigating stress, relationship challenges, past wounds, or simply trying to find balance. You don't have to go through it alone. As your therapist, I will provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and growth. Together we'll explore your story, uncover your strengths, and develop tools that support lasting change. I believe in meeting you where you are, with compassion and respect, so that you can take meaningful steps toward the life you want.

I specialize in supporting individuals who are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, stress, low self-esteem, childhood trauma, and self-harming behaviors. Also, I specialize in helping couples and families address harmful patterns, betrayal, and broken trust; increase healthy communication; and reconnect

I have a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from the University of Georgia, a Masters degree in Counseling from Montclair State University, and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Virginia State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. With over 18 years of experience working with diverse populations in various mental and behavioral health settings, I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families lead healthy, healed, and fulfilling lives.

My approach to therapy

My primary approach to therapy includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Counseling, and Relational-Cultural Counseling. I offer client-centered, culturally affirming, and trauma-informed care with a focus on individual needs. I intentionally integrate therapeutic approaches to promote healing and personal growth. I find value in exploring your personal narrative, core beliefs about yourself and others, family system, and emotional and behavioral responses.

I incorporate expressive art and play with child and adolescent clients.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other, explore your concerns and goals, and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. I believe that everyone deserves to live a healed and fulfilling life, and I’m passionate about supporting you in that process. Give me a call or book today so we can get started on your healing journey.
