Great to meet you!

Along with my degree, a big part of what I bring to the table as a clinician is my life experience. I decided to become a therapist, mid-life, after weathering a difficult crisis and learning how to work through it. I believe post-traumatic growth is possible, but it requires some effort to face challenges and identify what is needed to overcome them. I see myself as a resource in helping to build my clients' capacity to endure whatever is happening in the moment or the pain of the past.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work with individuals ages 18 and up to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief and loss, life transitions and relationship issues.

I believe in listening first as a counselor. It's important to understand the person and the context from which they come in order to find solutions and interventions that work. I work collaboratively with my clients to address their concerns and follow-up on their progress.

What you can expect from our first session

I support my clients in developing perspective and insight, changing unhelpful patterns, and finding tools and strategies to cope.
