Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker originally from West Texas who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University, and went on to receive my Master of Social Work with a specialty in Direct Practice with Children and Families. I have worked in an outpatient mental health setting, non-profit and for-profit counseling centers, and have provided individual and family counseling with adolescents in the juvenile justice system.

My approach to therapy

I draw from techniques from Trust-Based Relational Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Functional Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have a passion for working with children and adolescents dealing with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and other stressors that could be affecting their lives.

What you can expect from me

I seek to find function behind behaviors and help people learn skills to better deal with their thinking and behavioral patterns. I understand that having your involvement is essential in the work and try to create an atmosphere for mutually agreed-upon goals and decisions in treatment. I hope to create a nonjudgemental space for us to not focus on fixing emotions but figuring out how to tend to them.
