Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Sarah Chernick, a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and eating disorders. With 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including residential eating disorder centers, hospitals, schools, and community-based mental health. I feel truly honored to support others on their mental health journey and provide a compassionate space for growth and healing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Everyone’s journey is unique, and I believe therapy should be tailored to you. I’ll provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard and respected. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR and CBT, I’ll help you break free from unhelpful patterns and thoughts, and navigate challenges with more ease and confidence. I’m here to listen, support, and challenge you in a way that helps you grow.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a warm, supportive space where they feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment. My goal is to help you build self-awareness, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop practical tools to manage anxiety, heal from trauma, and improve your relationship with yourself. Sessions are a mix of deep healing work and actionable strategies, so you’ll leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
