Sarah Contor is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and went on to complete her Master of Social Work degree, with a concentration in mental and behavioral health.

Sarah was a special education teacher and worked with individuals on the autism spectrum. During her time at Capital Health, Sarah worked as an outpatient social worker for the Capital Institute for Neurosciences, where she facilitated several support groups in addition to providing case management to patients and families within the Institute. She is currently part of Capital Health – Behavioral Health Specialists, where she provides psychotherapy services to individuals and groups.

My approach to therapy

Her psychotherapeutic approach utilizes cognitive behavioral and strengths-based therapy techniques. She is certified in dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT). She opened her own practice, Serenity Behavioral Health and Wellness to further provide psychotherapy services to those working full time requiring flexible hours of operation.
