Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Sarah! I specialize in men's mental health, trauma, work stress, identity, LGBTQ+, and individuals practicing ethical non-monogamy (ENM) in all its forms. I have 7+ years of experience in community mental health which included working with unhoused veterans, LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults, and individuals struggling with substance use. I obtained an MS in Counseling from San Francisco State University in 2014 I have completed formal training in EMDR, Narrative Therapy, DBT, CBT, and MI.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a combination of talk therapy and EMDR to help people experience lasting change, symptom relief, and feel empowered for new possibilities. Many have described me as warm, funny, collaborative, open-minded, non-judgmental, and a bit directive. I use a harm reduction approach to substance use.

What you can expect from our first session

Symptom relief, a new perspective of yourself and your experiences, and more confidence and steadiness when facing future challenges.
