Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Tennessee, and I’m passionate about helping people feel safe, understood, and empowered in their healing.

I specialize in working with women navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and strength-based, and I often incorporate EMDR to help clients process past experiences that continue to impact how they feel today.

I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative and supportive space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just know something isn’t quite right, we can work together to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work and have experience working in both community mental health and private practice. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in creating a space where you feel safe to be fully yourself. I believe that healing happens when you feel seen, understood, and supported not judged or rushed.

I use a trauma-informed, strength-based approach, which means we focus not only on what’s been hard, but also on your resilience and the strengths you already have. I’m trained in EMDR and often use it to help clients process past experiences that continue to show up in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships today.

I also integrate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, and mindfulness to help you better understand patterns, manage anxiety, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others.

In our work together, you can expect a balance of support and gentle challenge. Some sessions may focus on processing deeper experiences, while others may be more practical, building coping skills, setting boundaries, or navigating current stressors.

My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my main goal is to help you feel comfortable and get a better understanding of what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have about the process.

I’ll ask some background questions to get a fuller picture of your experiences, but you don’t have to share everything all at once we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to have the “perfect” words or a clear starting point.

This first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for me and how I work. Therapy is a relationship, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported.

By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying some initial goals and talk about what moving forward together could look like.
