Dr. Sarah Elkin

My name is Sarah, the sole proprietor of Summit NP in Psychiatry, PLLC. My goal is to help my patients find relief, whether it is falling asleep with ease, completing tasks at work confidently, being present and interacting with loved ones, or even coping with a difficult workplace. I received my doctorate degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Columba University in 2020. While board certified to treat a diverse scale of symptoms, I have over 4 years of experience with children, as well as adults with substance use disorders.

My main focus is medication management. However, I believe it is important to meet someone where they are at and provide psycho-education about various options for treatment, rather than dictating one path. Choosing a medication is a collaborative and fluid discussion where there may be more than one right answer.

I believe in taking the time not only to complete comprehensive assessment of symptoms, but also explore the root of the symptoms. I strive to create the most thoughtful plan for each individual, with the patient as an active participant in their own treatment.
