Great to meet you!

I'm a multifaceted counselor with a diverse educational and professional background. I have been in the USAF Medical Corp for more than 21 years. In addition, I have been a K-6 teacher, worked in Child Protective Services, at a large Neuropsychiatric center and in private practice. My experience is with individuals ages 3 and above, families, couples, and group therapy. My areas of concentration include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, family systems, and military issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is interactive, strength-based, solution-focused, direct, and practical. Using empathy, compassion, humor, and an objective perspective, I collaborate with clients to develop an effective, pragmatic approach to their current life challenges, as well as addressing long-standing personal concerns.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to provide support and guidance to individuals by accessing their own unique strengths and personal resources to create a realistic and attainable treatment plan to reduce negative experiences, suffering, and pain while promoting overall positive sense of self, clarity and healing. Therapy is client driven and each client should leave sessions feeling empowered to be the agent of change in their life.
