I worked in the field of social work for 9 years, taught high school math for 12 years, and then used both of those experiences to begin my private practice in 2021. I now explore with my clients the puzzles of how we as humans navigate our lives and the problems, complicated situations, and complex emotions we get tangled in and how to keep going on the Hero's journey.
I believe in starting with what you, as the client, want to talk about and what they feel has brought them to therapy. As we work together, I will offer deep listening, humor, reflections, feedback, or advice- depending what you prefer. I see myself as a guide as you work through problems or emotional challenges.
I will ask them to fill out my assessment form and then talk about what is on their mind that day and how they would like to begin; and I will ask questions along the way.
