Great to meet you!

Hello! I have been working in the field of counseling for over 14 years, with experience in many treatment settings including hospital settings, non-profits, and now private practice. I never set out to specialize in crisis and trauma but over the years, it has become my niche. I find it to be the greatest honor to walk with someone through their darkest moments and to see them come out the other side. My super power is hope.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I love traditional talk therapy, with a focus on the relationship between myself and my client, but I have seen times when talk therapy isn't enough. That's where I believe EMDR fills in the gaps and can push a client that much further towards healing. I am also currently working on specializing in perinatal mental health.

What you can expect from our first session

Sessions with me are solution focused - I make sure to ask what you want from session that day and work to meet you where you are. I am happy to table a plan because life had other ideas that week, but I'll also keep us on track as needed to make sure we are accomplishing your treatment goals. Good therapy is about trusting each other and finding balance.
