Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm Sarah, and I'm so glad you're here. Taking the step to start counseling is courageous, and I commend you for it. Life doesn't come with a manual, and having guidance and support is essential for anyone who wants to grow. Maybe you've received advice in the past that felt clunky or just didn't fit your needs, or perhaps you're looking for help to take on a new challenge. My job isn't to tell you where to go, but to provide you with effective tools to help you get there. I work with adults & teens ages 16+ with a focus on treating anxiety, depression, grief & trauma. Specialized training: ACT, EMDR & CBT for anxiety. Over the past 15 years, I have focused on working with individuals experiencing anxiety disorder, depression, trauma, and grief.

My approach to therapy

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with an MA, I bring a warm presence and a deep compassion for mental health needs. I consider it an immense privilege to work in this field and to support my clients on their journeys toward better health and well-being. My approach is guided by trauma-informed care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is an action-oriented form of psychotherapy that helps with managing difficult feelings and moving forward in life. Additionally, my training includes trauma therapies such as EMDR and Attachment Focused Trauma Treatment for Adults.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy is an investment in the most valuable asset you possess: yourself. Small shifts often lead to significant outcomes. Whether you decide to work with me or another provider, I support you in your endeavor for better health. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to help you navigate your path forward.
