Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Sarah, and I received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from JMU in 2019. I have extensive training and experience working with the emerging adult population, as well as with folks who are experiencing disruptive anxiety symptoms. I work from a humanistic, person-centered orientation and integrate mindfulness, interpersonal process, CBT, and insight-oriented techniques to address my clients' unique needs.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I enjoy working with folks who are going through changes or transitions, are seeking more fulfilling connections, or are struggling with challenging emotions. I believe in human resiliency, the strength of vulnerability, and the transformative powers of acceptance and gratitude. Please reach out if you're interested in drawing from your strengths and creating change in your life that is meaningful to you!

What you can expect from our first session

I strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment in which clients can explore their concerns, get to know themselves better, and create healthier ways of coping. My clients and I collaborate to identify and seek the growth they long for.
