Great to meet you!

Sarah brings a wealth of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. She has served as a school counselor, a college professor and wilderness guide. Her compassion and interest in people has taken her around the world—from leading study abroad courses to supporting refugees in war zones. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Education from Harvard University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Sarah offers a blend of somatic and experiential therapies. She brings in models like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She also loves to incorporate yoga, art and humor if that’s your style. Sarah has worked with tweens, teens, and adults experiencing grief or moving through major life transitions. She works with clients wanting to stop feeling controlled by symptoms of mood swings, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.

What you can expect from our first session

Wherever you are in your journey, she's here to help you gain trust in yourself and get in touch your own inherent wisdom. Her approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and lighthearted. Generally, she loves working with people who are exploring existential questions and are ready for change. Sessions are available online, in her Boulder-based office, or hiking in nature.
