Great to meet you!

Welcome, I’m Sarah! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in supporting clients working through trauma, loss, anxiety, and depression. I believe we all have an inner strength and wisdom we can tap into in times of hardship and struggle to guide and move us forward. I’m here to walk alongside you as we work together to figure out where you’re at, where you’ve been, where you’d like to go, and how we can move towards what you want in life.

My approach to therapy

In our time together, we will use your expertise in your own life plus my clinical training to navigate through old ways of being that no longer serve you. We will work to discover and help you shift into new, more life-giving spaces within yourself. We’ll use compassion for self, curiosity, exploration, and playfulness to move from a sense of stuckness to a sense of movement, re-engagement in life, and ways to nourish and embrace your full, authentic self.

What you can expect from me

My approach incorporates cultural humility and being trauma-informed, while always acknowledging the ways the world and society mold us and shape our choices and options. My goal is to help you connect to your inner spark to find next steps that will bring more joy, ease, and fulfillment to your life. I have spent the last almost 10 years working with refugee and immigrant communities. Prior to that, I worked with survivors of abuse and sexual assault for 3 years. I currently work with adults 18+ and can provide both virtual and in-person therapy at this time. In-person sessions occur at Equinimity in Tucson and have the option of occurring outdoors/in nature and around the Equinimity horse herd.
