Great to meet you!

Approaching treatment with the dual aim of increasing insight and self-awareness as well as behavior modification and tangible goals yields the best results. I strive to offer both reflective as well as pragmatic resources. We will identify the specific issues that brought you to seek help and keep your therapy focused on these issues. Whether you're stuck in unwanted behaviors, an unhealthy relationship, emotional ruts, or just stuck in yourself, let's talk and see if we could be a match.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in sexual compulsivity and issues of sexual health and integrity, and am competent working with both individuals and couples. I have worked extensively in addiction treatment, but am by no means limited to working with people struggling with addiction and the people who love them. I use a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approach, as well as elements of Buddhist psychotherapy where appropriate.

What you can expect from me

Your treatment will be determined by what your goals are and how I might best facilitate you getting out of your own way. As resistance arises, we will discuss how you can better relate to perceived obstacles in order to move towards acceptance of reality and living life on life's terms.
