Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with approximately 12 years of community mental health experience. I graduated from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise in 2012 with my Bachelors degree in Psychology and obtained my Masters degree from Radford University in 2014. I’m certified by the Virginia Board of Counseling to supervise Residents in Counseling and provide individual and/or group supervision.

My approach to therapy

As a trauma-focused therapist, I'm here to help you manage distress, increase coping and relaxation skills, and process your individualized experiences in a safe place. I am also trained in perinatal mental health, so that I can better help you navigate your unique path throughout pregnancy and postpartum - whether that be perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (postpartum depression) or adjusting to parenthood.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Nobody is alike and treatment tools used for some people may not work for others. I tailor my approach to meet you where you are at and what will best suit you.
