Great to meet you!

I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist can be just as challenging. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out.

I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a background in school-based mental health and specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Before starting my private practice, I spent years working with children, teens, and families in school settings, helping them navigate life's challenges both inside and outside the classroom.

As a wife, mom of two young children, and therapist, I understand firsthand how easy it is to put yourself last while trying to keep up with the demands of everyday life. I work with children, teens, and adult women who are struggling with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, self-esteem, life transitions, and the pressure to be everything for everyone.

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I make therapy feel comfortable and conversational. While I'll always offer support and validation, I'm also not afraid to ask the hard questions, challenge unhelpful patterns, and help you look at situations from a different perspective. I believe meaningful growth happens when we can be honest with ourselves while feeling supported along the way.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or simply looking for a space to process life's ups and downs, I'm here to help.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, while also creating space for honesty, growth, and meaningful change.

I meet clients where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs, goals, and experiences. Some sessions may focus on learning practical coping skills and strategies, while others may involve exploring deeper patterns, relationships, or past experiences that continue to impact the present. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), strengths-based therapy, and person-centered techniques.

I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, even when discussing difficult topics. While validation and support are important parts of the therapeutic process, I also believe growth often requires us to have the hard conversations, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and step outside of our comfort zones.

My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges, and develop the tools they need to create lasting change both in and outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a welcoming, relaxed environment where you feel heard and understood. I'll ask questions about different areas of your life, including your relationships, support system, personal history, and current stressors, to help me gain a better understanding of the bigger picture.

We'll also discuss your goals for therapy and begin identifying what changes you'd like to see in your life. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of what working together might look like and whether I feel like the right fit for your needs.

My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the next steps.
