Great to meet you!

I am a Columbia University trained psychotherapist licensed and practicing in New Jersey and New York. I have worked in a variety of settings with clients in every age group from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds facing a wide variety of challenges. I've had the privilege of serving as a child advocate and crisis hotline operator for an emergency shelter serving survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. I have experience working in a hospital setting with children and families struggling to cope with chronic illness. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and couples in the private practice setting for the past 6 years. I have a special sensitivity for teens and adults who have struggled with a dysfunctional family, codependency, abuse, neglect, self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance abuse/self-medicating, disordered eating, their spiritual/religious beliefs, their sexuality, loss, and grief.

My approach to therapy

I would describe my approach as trauma-informed, gentle, sensitive, compassionate, patient, non-judgmental, affirming, client-centered, and relaxed. My primary goal is for clients to feel safe and comfortable enough with me to express their concerns. You have to feel it to heal it and you deserve support. Everyone deserves help when they need it, but only you can give yourself or your loved one the gift of therapy.

What you can expect from me

I work with clients who are struggling with their mental health, physical health, career, relationships, faith/spirituality/belief system, purpose, and family. We will delve deeply into your concerns and your history to uncover any barriers preventing you from enjoying your optimal health and wellbeing. You can expect to feel significant relief from your concerns within the first few sessions.
