Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed by complex trauma, big emotions, and the lasting impact of growing up in environments that didn’t always feel safe or supportive. If your brain tends to overthink everything, your nervous system is always on high alert (or totally shut down), or you find yourself stuck in people-pleasing or perfectionism — you’re in the right place.

My approach to therapy

I blend EMDR with IFS in a way that honors your whole system. Translation: we don’t bulldoze into trauma. We build trust first and make sure all parts of you are on board, so the work feels safe, not overwhelming. I don’t rush into trauma work. We will take time to build trust and gain permission from protective parts first, so nothing feels overwhelming or forced. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” we get curious about the parts of you that developed to help you cope, and gently work toward helping your system feel safer, more regulated, and more connected.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, we’ll take things slow. Think less “deep dive into everything all at once” and more “let’s figure out what actually helps you feel safe and supported.” We’ll focus on building trust, understanding your experiences, and giving you tools that make day-to-day life feel more manageable.
