Great to meet you!

My name is Sarah Police and I’ve been working in the mental health and addiction field for 12 years. I got my undergraduate degree in psychology from Hardin-Simmons University and my masters degree in marriage and family therapy/clinical psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I specialize in working with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and borderline. I work with individuals, families, and couples.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients to help them recognize their strengths and help them learn how to effectively advocate for themselves and their relationships. I want clients to feel comfortable while in session, so they tend to lean more like a conversation rather than me just listening.

What you can expect from me

The first session is where we are learning about each other. The first session, and sometimes the first few sessions, are gathering information sessions. We discuss what brought the client to therapy, get some of the history, then begin creating a road map (treatment plan) for the future sessions.
