Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is most effective when it's rooted in collaboration and connection. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change, and I work to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported as full partners in the process. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working in both community-based organizations and private practice — experiences that have shaped a flexible, grounded perspective on how people heal and grow. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and earned my Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University. Outside of formal training, I'm committed to continued learning so that I can show up for every client with curiosity, presence, and care.

My approach to therapy

My style is compassionately direct. I believe clients are best served when their therapist is willing to listen deeply, ask honest questions, and gently challenge the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My work is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and narrative therapy. Drawing from this toolkit allows me to meet each client where they are and tailor our work to what they actually need, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. My overall approach is flexible, trauma-informed, and client-centered — which means we move at your pace, honor your story, and build on the strengths you already have as we work through life's challenges together.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will be an introductory session. These sessions are typically shorter and are intended to help us get to know one another — there's no pressure to dive into the deepest parts of your story right away. During this time, I will tell you a bit about myself, how I work, and what you can expect from therapy with me. I will then ask you to share a little about yourself, what's been bringing you in, and what you are hoping to accomplish through our work together. I will also take the time to address any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process, including practical things like scheduling, frequency, and what happens between sessions. My goal for our first conversation is simple: to help you feel comfortable, informed, and confident about taking the next step.
