Great to meet you!

My name is Sarah. I am excited to get to know you! I am a board certified LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). I have primarily worked in a community mental health setting, which has given me a very diversified experience. I am an animal lover, a coach, a mom, and a devoted partner. I am a member of the LGBT+ community. I work with people of all ages and believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their best self.

My approach to therapy

I am specialized in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR. All with a person-centered approach and a focus on building the therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is that everyone inherently matters. I truly believe that everyone deserves to heal, be happy, and thrive in their life. I focus on up-front communication, working together to achieve your goals, and transparency to hold each other accountable.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect a warm and open environment. One that is free from judgement and focuses on getting to know you as the person you are. I like to start wherever you are at, finding some achievable goals to start working towards to get you to where you want to be. That will give us the framework and foundation to continue to build on a positive therapeutic relationship.
