Great to meet you!

I believe growth is a constant, life-long objective which we tweak as life throws different obstacles our way. I became a therapist because every person deserves someone steady in their corner while navigating the journey of life. I want to be the person to help build your toolbox to tackle the hard stuff, as well as someone to celebrate the good stuff with. I utilize an energetic, supportive and solution-oriented approach to stimulate change.

For six years, I worked as a music therapist with kids presenting with complex disabilities, which taught me something I continue to carry into every session: how to really listen, how to meet someone exactly where they are without rushing them, and how to stay patient when things feel hard to put into words. Building those skills as a clinician in that setting pushed me to begin utilizing my second license in standard mental health counseling, so I could bring that same grounded, attentive care and energy into talk therapy with adults.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily with anxiety, grief, and life transitions — the moments when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like you've lost your footing. If you're dealing with racing thoughts that won't quiet down, grieving a loss (of a person, a relationship, an old version of your life or self), or standing at a crossroads and not sure which way to go, this is where I can help most.

My approach blends a few different tools depending on what you need:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice the thought patterns that keep you stuck and start shifting them
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build some breathing room between you and difficult feelings, instead of being swept up in them
  • Motivational Interviewing to help you find your own reasons for change — not mine, yours
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to keep us moving toward real, concrete next steps instead of circling the same conversation

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, we'll start simple: what's bringing you in, what's worked (or hasn't) before, and what you're hoping feels different. From there, we'll build a plan that's actually yours — practical tools you can use in daily life, paired with space to understand what's going on underneath. You can expect me to be warm yet direct, and genuinely curious about your story — never clinical, never distant. My hope is that you leave every session feeling a little lighter and a little clearer on your next step.

If anxiety, grief, or a hard transition is something you're navigating right now, I'd be glad to be part of your journey.
