Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Dr. Sarah Scalese, and I'm glad you're here. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in DC. I help people in their 20s and 30s who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or burned out—even when life looks ‘fine’ on the outside.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, active, and nonjudgmental. Whether you're looking to improve your mood, strengthen relationships, or build skills to manage emotions, I’m here to support you through the ups and downs.

I also bring specialized experience working with college students and young professionals, with past roles at Georgetown University, Rutgers, and the University of Delaware.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, the first step is getting to know you—your strengths, values, and what matters most. From there, we’ll explore patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior that may be getting in the way of the version of yourself you want to be. I use research-backed strategies grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you make meaningful, lasting change.
