My approach to therapy

Dr. Skoog is a client-centered therapist. Using evidence-based therapies and modalities, she begins with a comprehensive assessment, followed by collaborating with you in developing an individualized treatment plan that fits your unique difficulties, goals, and objectives. Some of the treatment therapies that Dr. Skoog uses are CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focus, Existential, Reality, Gender-affirming, and trauma-informed therapy.

While Dr. Skoog has worked in a wide variety of settings, as a Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor, she has always said that her true professional “home” is when she is working one-on-one with her clients.
