Great to meet you!

Sarah Stewart, LPC, left London's gray skies for the Arizona desert to pursue her passion for behavioral health, and now practices in Tucson, AZ as a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She brings over 25 years of experience across education, youth work, community mental health, and private practice counseling, holding degrees from the U.K. and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her true passion lies in the therapy process itself: she works collaboratively with each client so they feel lighter, more grounded, and more in control of their lives. Sarah loves working with teens, students and adults, individuals and couples alike — and when she's driving alone, she loves to sing loudly with the music blaring.

My approach to therapy

Therapy should feel like a genuine, meaningful conversation — not something scripted or clinical. I bring a down-to-earth, evidence-based approach that keeps the work both effective and comfortable, whether you're navigating something recent or a challenge you've carried for years. Using a trauma-informed, mindfulness-based approach, we'll slow down enough to notice what's actually happening in your body and mind when anxiety spikes, a memory surfaces, or grief hits hard — not just the story on the surface, but what's underneath it. Once you can see the pattern clearly, it starts to lose some of its grip. I focus on solutions. I give practical tools to use out of the therapy room. Most clients see meaningful progress in just two sessions per month.

What you can expect from me

We'll spend the time getting a picture of what's going on for you — what brought you in, what you're hoping will change, and any relevant history. There's no pressure to have it all organized. My job is to help you feel heard and start building a plan together.
