Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah Strumeier — a licensed psychotherapist. But by the way, I’m also human. I’ve faced my own fair share of grief, caregiving, and life’s ruthless challenges (disclaimer: therapists need therapists too).

So no, I’m not the perfect-postured therapist with their head buried in a notebook, writing down your every move, and searching for a diagnosis in the first 15 minutes. Therapy shouldn’t be that way.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered approach with my clients. I typically starts our sessions with casual, lighthearted conversation. Then I give you permission to lead (while I follow) as we explore mindset shifts and practical tools for healing together. Through my years of clinical experience, I’ve found the most impactful tool for healing is leading with compassion. Yes, this process does take work and commitment - but you don’t have to go through it alone. I will guide you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

Being in seasons of lingering trauma, grief, anxiety, or distress can feel like a heavy burden on our shoulders. It takes strength and resilience to face these challenges in our lives. And it’s why I believe extending kindness to yourself (something I’ll guide you through) is all the more important if we want to heal from the inside out. My goal is to simply guide you to the answers you already have and the life you desire most.
