Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Sarah Swensen and I am an affirming & empowering therapist. I specialize in unhealthy relationships, family issues and grief & loss. My goal as your therapist is to help you discover your inner strength, navigate life’s challenges with confidence, and foster healing in a safe, compassionate environment.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of CBT, DBT, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches to help you work through challenges and reach your goals. I believe therapy works best when we can work together as a team, building a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable being honest, heard, and understood. My goal is to meet you where you are, without judgment, and help you find practical tools and strategies that make sense for your life.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, work through life’s challenges, and develop practical tools that you can actually use in your everyday life. Whether you’re navigating a specific situation, struggling in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck and wanting something to change, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be the beginning of something meaningful. I’m here to meet you where you are, without judgment, and support you as you work toward feeling more confident, empowered, and comfortable in your own life. I’m honored to be part of that journey.
