Great to meet you!

My approach to therapy is rooted in a strong belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship. As I work with clients to pursue their treatment goals, I strive to facilitate an open and accepting atmosphere that lends itself to exploration and insight. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I am here to support, guide, and empower you.

I have had the privilege of working with adolescents, adults, families, and groups. I have experience working with mood, anxiety, and depressive disorders, as well as ADHD, self-esteem issues, and grief and loss. I hold a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is direct and person-centered. I focus on supporting clients in accessing their emotions and recognizing the patterns, both cognitive and behavioral, at play in their lives. Gaining self-awareness creates more opportunities for making intentional, values-based decisions. I was trained through a psychodynamic lens and primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques (CBT, ACT, DBT) in my practice.

What you can expect from our first session

Using a collaborative, person-centered approach, I support clients in determining their specific treatment goals. Clients may need coping strategies to manage their emotions or self-compassion and understanding around their struggles. My goal is to facilitate improved mental well-being and stability, as well as the ability to navigate difficulties with a balanced mindset.
