Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Sarah, a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio. I received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron, but I also have a M.A. from The Ohio State University in Comparative Studies, focusing on the body, trauma, and narrative. We are our stories, as well as how we re-create our stories!

My approach to therapy

My theoretical background is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Also important is supporting clients' self-compassion & self-care while in therapy. Lastly, I will always throw in a dash of humor when appropriate! Laughter is healing!

What you can expect from me

I am a firm believer in creating safe spaces for healing. Coming to therapy -- even making the decision to come to therapy -- is courageous. I am continually honored to hold space for the brave work by clients in therapy! I also recognize the wisdom that clients have about themselves. Sometimes we just need the safety, time & space to see that wisdom for ourselves!
