Great to meet you!

Sarah is a compassionate counselor who works with young adults and teens (16+) struggling with trauma, anxiety and life changes, and is passionate about helping individuals rediscover their strengths, drive and purpose. As a 3rd generation Chinese-American, Sarah has a special interest working with individuals navigating the intersections of mental health, culture and identity.

My approach to therapy

Sarah aims to work collaboratively with clients to clarify their goals, discover themselves in new ways, and build resources/skills for a life worth living. She draws primarily from mindfulness, strengths-based, emotion-focused, creative arts and solution-focused approaches. However, each person is unique so she will work together with you to determine which therapy modality is the best fit for you.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, Sarah will get to know you beyond the paperwork. She will collect any relevant background information and help you establish an initial direction for therapy. The first session is also a great time to ask any questions you have.
