Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe being honest, understood without judgement, and supported as you work toward meaningful change. I work with women who are navigating the aftereffects of difficult past experiences. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns of coping that just aren't working anymore. I specialize in helping women break free from chronic anxiety, self-doubt, hopelessness, and shame after trauma and during difficult life changes. I have unique experience working with survivors of domestic violence, emotional neglect, betrayal, and childhood abuse.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines evidence-based trauma therapy with warmth, creativity, and compassion. I am trained in EMDR and frequently integrate this modality with Internal Family Systems (IFS, also called Parts Work) when targeting trauma symptoms. In these sessions, we use bilateral stimulation via tapping or eye movements to gently reprocess painful or 'stuck' memories, while using IFS to find and relieve the protective, overwhelmed, and overworked parts of you. I prioritize a highly collaborative space—meaning we go at your pace, and your feedback and questions are always welcomed as we navigate your healing journey.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will be mainly focused on getting to know you and helping you feel as comfortable and safe as possible. I know meeting someone new and sharing vulnerable pieces of your life isn't always easy, so there is no obligation to share more than you are comfortable with. In our initial sessions, I hope to learn not only about the concerns that brought you to seek help, but also about your values, goals, hopes, and the things and people in your life that are most important to you. By the end of the first session, we will have created an initial treatment plan to guide our work together and you will have had time to ask any questions you may have about me or the process. I offer sessions both in-person and via telehealth for your convenience, and appointments typically last around 55 minutes.
