Great to meet you!

As a licensed clinical social worker, my focus is to respect the dignity, rights, and worth of each person I work with as they realize their potential and work toward their goals. I have a masters of social work from Brigham Young University and am always working on continuing my education and insight into psychotherapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in working with mood disorders, addiction, and trauma. The three often end up together in a jumbled mess that seems impossible to untangle. You start to wonder which came first. I can support you on a journey to find and understand the parts of you that seem to keep you stuck.

What you can expect from our first session

A wise artist once said, "The truth is, I need help, but I just can't imagine who I'd be if I was happy." It's common to feel more comfortable in a state of depression, anxiety, or stress when these have been your only companions. My philosophy is that we are not our emotions. Being in a state of sadness or happiness does not fundamentally change who you are. I would like to work with you to understand who you are at your core, and find ways to allow your true self to be in control of your life.
