Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Sarah (she/her), a New Orleans-based Licensed Professional Counselor (#9335) offering both in-person and telehealth counseling for individuals. I provide a supportive space to deepen understanding, strengthen communication, and heal relational patterns. I specialize in supporting people navigating and healing from addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, negative self-concept, and life transitions.

In addition to completing a Master’s of Education in Counseling, I’ve completed advanced training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) for working with complex trauma. This approach is rooted in present-moment awareness and emphasizes understanding your survival patterns—the strategies you developed to cope and stay safe. These patterns aren’t inherently bad; in fact, they were once necessary. But over time, they can create unwanted consequences, limit your sense of connection, and keep you from moving forward in life the way that you want most. Together, we work to recognize and understand these patterns, build compassion for why they exist, and gradually replace them with more adaptive ways of relating to yourself and others. Over time, this approach helps you build on your strengths, increase your sense of agency, and experience greater ease in relationships and life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that each of us has a deep, natural drive toward healing. Sessions are led by you—centered on what feels most important at this time in your life and shaped by your goals and values. I see my role as a guide and support, not an expert with the answers. I draw from trauma-informed, relational, and somatic approaches to help you explore what’s getting in the way of experiencing connection, clarity, and self-trust. Together, we’ll use tools from psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative therapy to support insight, integration, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a supportive space to reflect, feel, and grow. Together, we’ll explore patterns of thought and behavior which you've outgrown, reconnect with your strengths, and work toward building the life and relationships you want. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to develop a stronger sense of agency—more clarity, choice, and confidence in how you meet life’s challenges. Above all, my goal is to help you feel more connected—to yourself, to others, and to what matters most.
