Great to meet you!

I bring 30 years of social work experience, including from hospital acute care & skilled nursing post-acute care settings. I'm passionate about supporting people through grief, trauma, PTSD, & life transitions, with deep care for LGBTQIA+ & transgender clients. I’m inquisitive, open minded, & empowering, & would love to help you find steady ground.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, I draw on a strengths-based approach that starts with what is already working in your life, alongside solution focused techniques to help you move toward clear, achievable goals. When useful, I also bring in cognitive behavioral strategies for anxious or difficult thought patterns. With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, including grief, trauma, PTSD, chronic health challenges, & family & relationship issues, I offer a steady, collaborative presence. As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I want every client, including transgender clients, to feel fully seen & respected. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more grounded, understood, & supported.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together is a chance to get to know each other, talk about what is bringing you to therapy now, whether that is anxiety, depression, grief, or stress, & begin shaping a plan that fits your goals & pace. I bring a warm, curious, & open-minded presence to our work. You can expect a space where you are heard without judgment, where your identity & experience are fully honored, & where we move forward together, one step at a time. My hope is that you leave our work together feeling more at ease, more understood, & better equipped for what life brings.
