Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults improve their emotional well-being and achieve meaningful life goals. Since 2015, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings supporting individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions.

I enjoy working with children and adults ages 3 to 65. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make positive changes. I believe that each person has unique strengths, and my role is to help clients build on those strengths while developing effective coping skills and strategies for growth.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to help clients achieve their goals and improve daily functioning.

In addition to outpatient counseling, I have extensive experience working with individuals living with severe and persistent mental health conditions. My work has been grounded in the principles of recovery and resilience, helping clients foster hope, increase self-determination, and work toward meaningful recovery goals. I have also completed Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator Training, which supports my commitment to empowering clients to develop personalized wellness strategies and maintain long-term emotional health.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care and partnering with you on your journey toward greater wellness and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I believe that effective therapy begins with a trusting relationship where clients feel safe, supported, and understood. I work to create a nonjudgmental environment that encourages growth, self-awareness, and positive change.

I utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. These approaches help clients identify strengths, develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges.

When working with children, I collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to support healthy development, improve behavior, and strengthen family relationships. For adults, I focus on helping clients manage symptoms, overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal goals.

My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and severe and persistent mental health conditions. I also embrace a recovery-oriented approach that emphasizes hope, empowerment, self-determination, and resilience. Through my training as a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator, I help clients develop personalized strategies to support long-term wellness and recovery.

I view therapy as a partnership, and I am committed to helping clients recognize their strengths, build effective skills, and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can feel comfortable sharing their concerns at their own pace. My goal is to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn about your strengths, challenges, and personal goals.

We will discuss your current concerns, relevant personal and family history, symptoms, coping strategies, and any previous experiences with mental health treatment. For children, I also gather information from parents or caregivers to better understand the child's needs and develop an effective treatment plan.

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship and determine whether we are a good fit to work together. Together, we will identify initial goals and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. I will answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process and explain how treatment can be tailored to your unique needs.

By the end of the session, clients can expect to have a better understanding of the therapy process, a clearer direction for treatment, and a collaborative plan for moving forward. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the possibility of positive change.
