Great to meet you!

Reaching out for psychiatric care can feel like a big step, and I want your first conversation with me to feel like talking to someone who actually gets it. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health concerns, and I bring more than 18 years of nursing experience across emergency, critical care, and behavioral health settings in both Nepal and the United States to every visit. That background shapes how I practice: I move at your pace, ask questions instead of assuming, and treat you like a whole person, not a diagnosis.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on a thorough psychiatric evaluation followed by evidence-based medication management, grounded in trauma-informed care. In session, I explain the reasoning behind any treatment recommendation in plain language, not just write a prescription, so you understand the "why" before we decide together. I rely on regular follow-up visits to track how symptoms and medications are working and adjust the plan as needed, drawing on more than 18 years of nursing and behavioral health experience to inform those decisions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, unhurried video conversation, not a rushed intake form. We'll start by talking through what's brought you in, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of care, moving at whatever pace feels comfortable for you, not a rigid checklist. If it feels like a good fit, we'll outline next steps together before the visit ends, and you're always welcome to ask questions or slow things down. There's no pressure to have everything figured out on this first call, just an open conversation.
