Great to meet you!

Life changes, health concerns, and relationship demands can leave you feeling overwhelmed or unsure of your next step. I work with adults and older adults navigating stress, depression, chronic illness, and difficult transitions, with a particular interest in women’s issues and healthcare professionals. With more than 25 years of counseling and clinical social work experience, I help you make sense of what’s happening and identify changes that are realistic for your life.

My approach to therapy

I’m direct, collaborative, and comfortable having difficult conversations—with room for humor, too. We’ll look at patterns, build on what’s working, and practice skills you can use outside our sessions. I draw on cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches to help you manage stress, strengthen boundaries, and move toward your goals.

What you can expect from me

Talking about your life with someone you just met can feel a little strange. Where do you even start? You don’t need a rehearsed story or everything in order—and “I don’t know where to start” works, too. I’ll ask questions to help us get going. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’d like help with, and whether working together feels right to you. We’ll figure out the next steps together.
